Our Very First Salon Affiliate Has Retired…
In 2010 we decided to take the Mobile Day Spa for a spin. We knew that our local community supported us because they knew us. We wanted to know what people thought about us THAT didn’t know us. Two of my team members stopped by a local salon looking for support for our six-week tour through the state of Indiana. The salon owner was so enthusiastic about the tour and our dream for the Hello Gorgeous! The program was that she was ready to pack her bags and go on the road with us. Sandy has been the owner of Sandy's Hair Design for more than 30 years.
August of 2010 Sandy and her team the day they completed their training, and officially became a Hello Gorgeous! Certified Affiliate Salon
It was on that tour that we developed the salon affiliate program. A program where we would go into a salon and train them to re-create the Hello Gorgeous! Experience, while being mindful of her compromised immune system. Since Sandy was so enthusiastic about the tour and the work that we did with Hello Gorgeous!, we invited her to become our very first Hello Gorgeous! Affiliate Salon.
August of 2015 - Mike and I celebrated Sandy's 5-year success with the Affiliate Salon Program
Sandy and her team served more than 10 years as an affiliate and performed almost 100 makeovers on local women battling cancer. Mike would always affectionately call Sandy "His first born" Because of Sandy and her willingness to participate, our salon affiliate program grew to more than 33 salons in 15 states. She was an interaural part of the success of the program.
May of 2022 was the end of an era. Sandy hung up her shears and retired from the beauty industry and closed the doors to Sandy's Hair Design.
Sandy is an amazing individual with a heart of gold. God certainly broke the mold when he created her. She is filled with joy and love like I have never seen.
I am grateful to Sandy for so many reasons, but mostly because she shared her heart and soul with women battling cancer and made an impact in our community that I am not sure, even she understands.
Thank you, Sandy! From the bottom of my heart!!! Thank you for saying yes!!! Thank you for paving the way for many more Salon Affiliates to come!!!
